About 3 months ago I had a Renters Alarm wireless security system installed in my apartment and, although I knew I was doing the right thing by adding this security measure, I was skeptical of how simple operation of the system would truly be and if the pet-sensitive motion detector would function as promised. I’m not very good with technology so I didn’t want to worry about pressing multiple buttons or maneuvering through an intricate system in order to activate or deactivate the alarm. I needed safety without any complications.
After my security system was installed (the day after I called!), the professionals showed me how to use the keychain remote to arm and disarm the device from outside the apartment so I don’t have to worry about getting to the keypad if my hands are full when I get home. And that keypad was my main concern in terms of operation. I always seem to have trouble with other electronic devices malfunctioning or turning off spontaneously when I desperately need them to function. The installer showed me the few buttons I needed to operate the alarm system so I could easily deactivate the alarm if I accidentally set it off. I haven’t had any issues so far with the keypad not functioning properly, which has made integration of the program into my daily routine incredibly smooth.
The other feature of Ralarm’s security system that has been very beneficial is the motion detector that is not interrupted by pets. My golden retriever, Luke, is very happy that the alarm does not irritate him during the day. I had put off purchasing a security system for a while, despite some recent burglaries nearby, because I didn’t think I could find a solution that would work with my dog. This motion sensor has not given a false alarm due to Luke so far, giving me even more confidence in the ability of this system to detect a true intruder. If an alarm was going off every other day, I wouldn’t be as apt to take each one seriously and that could result in the system being worthless to me. Overall, I have been extremely pleased with the functionality of this particular product and I feel safe leaving my apartment and Luke in its’ care.

I completely agree with how the security systems can be overwhelming, and for people like myself who have lived in apartments their whole life and have no understanding of electronics or other technical issues that might be general knowledge for most homeowners, it’s good to leave the security issues in the hands of the professionals. I live alone, and knowing I have somebody looking over my place whether I’m there or not really gives me a true sense of security (no pun intended).

Hey we created a cool illustration detailing burglary statistics in the United States. I didn’t see a way to email it to you so I hope you don’t mind me leaving it in a comment. http://www.authoritysafes.com/burglary-statistics.html I think your readers will like it. Would love help sharing this out.
